The spatial light modulator (SLM) is the heart of a holographic trapping system. The HOTkit delivers the best SLM available:
- Stable trap power (zero flicker and droop)
- Available in 5 wavelength ranges, from 515 nm to 1650 nm
- Exceptional optical flatness: at 532 nm, at 1064 nm
- Video-rate hologram updating; 30Hz at 532 nm, 15Hz at 1064 nm
- High-speed model available
- Choose from standard and high laser power models
See the HOTkit Specifications for more details and system requirements.

Arryx's three HOTkit packages offer flexibility in selecting for ease of use, level of control, and customizability. With all packages, one may select from the full range of SLM options.
HOTkit Standard comes with the HOTgui software used by the award-winning BioRyx 200 system. This application offers real-time three-dimensional control of optical traps and video data collection capabilities with a user-friendly mouse-driven interface.
See the HOTgui Software page for more details and movies showing the software in action.

HOTkit Developer includes the HOTapi application programmer's interface (API), which provides lower-level access to optical trapping functions and enables users to create their own control routines. The HOTgui application software is also included.
See the HOT API Software page for more details.
